Children’s drawings of aespa’s Karina and IVE’s Wonyoung recently went viral online, sparking a debate.

The two starred as nuns for a surprise Christmas project, a cinematic advertisement for Google Gemini. However, the drawings of each of them done on set by children stole the spotlight with their stark differences.

The drawing of Karina had a funny and “ugly” appearance…

…while the Wonyoung drawing depicted her as pretty, innocent, and curvaceous.

When the post gained attention for the drawings’ difference, netizens immediately stepped in to defend Karina. Particularly, some mentioned how she uploaded the photo herself on Instagram, proving she found the whole thing funny instead of offensive.

The top comments stated that the more “hate” Karina gets thrown online, the more love she receives in real life.
