    2025 MBC Drama Awards

    by lovepark

    Seo Kang-joon

Another year has passed which means the Big 3 broadcasters are doling out awards with MBC starting off the annual ceremonies. The theme this year was the meeting of past-present-future as previous winners attended as presenters alongside stars headlining upcoming projects, which included familiar faces such as IU and Byun Woo-seok.

While MBC did not have any particular standouts this year, Undercover High School was indubitably the big winner of the night, netting its star Seo Kang-joon the coveted Daesang. An action-comedy where Seo plays an NIS agent posing as a high school student, its campy premise and silly tone delivered an entertaining watch with solid performances from the cast.

The other big winner was the historical-fantasy Moon River which concluded its run earlier this month. The show received a total of seven awards earning both its leads top excellence as well as best couple. Congratulations to all the winners, including the late Lee Soon-jae who was honored this evening with a lifetime achievement award. Happy New Year!
