A 2nd generation idol captivated listeners with a more mature outlook on life, as he candidly shared his experiences as a father and his new musical journey on radio.
On the afternoon of the 4th, original Super Junior member Sungmin appeared on MBC Radio‘s Son Tae Jin’s Trot Radio.
As the father of a 16-month-old child, he made a realistic confession: “I’m truly happy but tired,” adding, “I will never forget the moment my child first grabbed my finger. These days, the happiest times are when my child greets me with a big smile after work,” revealing his doting “proud dad” side.
Regarding his new release UNLIMIT, which came out on the 2nd, Sung Min explained, “I named it myself to express the confidence that I can do anything, breaking free from the musical genres and image I used to limit myself with.”
He then passionately performed the title track “Godsaeng,” delivering powerful vocals and his signature energetic and positive vibe to energize listeners. He described the song as “a comfort to those who doubt themselves, as proof that they are already living well,” and said it supports everyone who works quietly and diligently.
Notably, he shared, “When I see happy lives posted on social media, I sometimes feel like I’m falling behind and living without ease. But everyone has their own timeline, and a time when happiness follows unhappiness will come,” impressing DJ Son Tae Jin.
About the double title track “Dancing Under The Stars,” he said, “Personally, I thought about the time spent with fans. Even if not outdoors, I imagine the moments at concerts or fan meetings dancing and singing together under lights or phone flashlights.”
Finally, after singing Young Tak‘s “Hallyang-ga,” Sung Min said, “The life of a “hallyang” — someone who recharges after working hard — is also part of ‘Godsaeng.’ I warmly encourage all listeners who are living their lives passionately in their own ways while enjoying the present.”
