This post drew even more attention as it was her first selfie released since the recent controversy. Earlier, Park Bom had shared a handwritten letter claiming, “Sandara Park got caught for drugs, and to cover that up, they made Park Bom look like a drug user,” which caused a stir.

In 2010, Park Bom was caught by customs for importing the prescription drug Adderall via international express delivery from the United States but received a suspension of indictment in 2014 as it was recognized to be for treatment purposes.
In 2019, Park Bom’s agency explained the past drug controversy by stating, “Adderall is a legally prescribed medicine approved by the U.S. FDA, and the incident occurred due to a lack of proper awareness of domestic regulations,” and apologized again, saying, “We are sorry for the trouble caused by actions resulting from ignorance.” The agency also added that Park Bom has ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder) and has been receiving consistent treatment at a university hospital in Korea.
