She has a firm stance on it.

A 4th-generation girl group member has gone viral for her blunt denial to participate in a trending dance challenge.
The idol in question is Jiyoon, a member of the now-disbanded girl group Weeekly.

During a recent live broadcast on social media, Jiyoon was asked if she would do the “GG EZ” dance challenge. It’s a trending challenge that many top K-Pop idols have already participated in, including BTS’s Jungkook, IVE’s Yujin, and ILLIT’s Iroha.

However, Jiyoon simply refused to participate in the challenge, her reason being that it was an AI-generated track. She admitted that she liked the choreography but wasn’t on board with AI-generated music.
Jiyoon refusing to do the “GG EZ” challenge because it’s an ai song which some people don’t realise. She also talked about the struggles of being an artist lately because even like restaurants play ai songs instead of real songs because it’s free. https://t.co/pj6X2tQiBf pic.twitter.com/IXmnohrtxS

Jiyoon has been vocally against the use of generative AI as an artist, pointing out how it steals opportunities from human artists.
A few months ago during a live she also talked about AI, it was pretty sad to hear her be discouraged as artist. I don’t think she wants to be too negative/close-minded about it, as it can be an helpful tool. But people just relying to do their stuff definitely feels off https://t.co/MpxSxHLD2W pic.twitter.com/y1FihRT8tS

Her straightforward refusal to contribute to this AI-generated song’s popularity has won her high praise from netizens, who felt that bigger idols should also follow suit and be more responsible in promoting trends on social media.
I need more idols to have this kind of awareness. I don’t care if y’all are doing it because it’s trendy. Y’all should be aware that you trained for years, only to let AI generated songs become popular. It’s so embarrassing, man https://t.co/wLyeLJNHZB

this is so nice to hear after seeing every kidol kickride ai. this proves that not everyone is just going to go along with it just bc its “popular in SK” and people CAN care about their art and subsequently the environment from this https://t.co/kgHOwgeke6

Also, thanks to Jiyoon expressing her stance, many netizens became aware that the “GG EZ” song was indeed AI-generated, who otherwise would have kept hyping up the track blindly.
WAIT GG EZ IS AN AI SONG???????? 😃 https://t.co/xN9vjC7N5w

So you’re telling me kpop idols dancing to AI songs now?even the kpop industry desensitizing everyone else and protagonists the use of AI.Further proving MHJ right ,no real creativity, uniqueness, and hard work being put into shit.Just copying, AI,and corruption. https://t.co/jQMQX5CTIj
