Last year, the survival show Boys 2 Planet showed the process of selecting members of a new boy group, ALPHA DRIVE ONE.
Like other survival shows, many waited for popular trainees to announce their post-show plans, which, for some, included group debuts. On January 15, IST Entertainment announced the debut of a new boy group, TUNEXX, featuring four members who appeared on Boys 2 Planet.

The group made their debut on March 3, 2026, with “I’m Alive”
As the group have promoted their release, they have done a number of events including fansigns. Recently, photos taken by a fan attending events have gone viral, but not for the reason one might expect.
The images show a member distorted in a way resembling the Uncanny Valley effect.

The member depicted is Shinhwan, whose joining of TUNEXX was a point of contention due to allegations made against him of sexual harassment and bullying.
