Seven idols from two boy groups are now free from their exclusive contracts and can continue their entertainment activities as they see fit.

Six members of Fantasy Boys (Kang Minseo, Lee Hanbin, Hikaru, Hong Sungmin, Kim Gyurae, and Kaedan) and Doha of BAE173 secured a major court victory in their legal dispute with PocketDol Studio. The agency’s attempt to challenge an earlier injunction ruling was rejected.

On May 14, attorney Heo Seong Hoon from Law Firm Liu, who represents the artists, released an official statement confirming the outcome. According to the statement, the Seoul Central District Court had already ruled in favor of the idols on April 17 in a case seeking to suspend the validity of their exclusive contracts. Although the agency filed an immediate objection following that decision, the court ultimately upheld the original ruling and once again sided with the artists.

The legal team stated that the court repeatedly found that PocketDol Studio failed to properly meet its settlement obligations, leading the court to acknowledge the agency’s breach of contract.
