For February, I went all in for lots of drama with seasons 1 and 2 of the makjang Penthouse: War in Life. Here’s how they went:
Penthouse: War in Life
I’m a huge fan of makjang, and Penthouse is pure makjang at its finest. Everything is dramatic and over-the-top from start to finish with plenty of outlandish plot developments. And that’s what makes it so much fun! Our main cast delivered wonderful performances as they get entangled in a web of lies, deceit, and revenge. You never know what’s going to happen next with this group! Watching them go at each other was always a good time.
This is not a drama that will be everyone’s cup to tea. It’s all kinds of crazy with revenge, scheming, affairs, murder, and so much more. You will find some cliches, loopholes, and convenient plot devices along the way, but if you can just roll with it all and not think about it too deeply, it’s incredibly engaging and thrilling.
Penthouse left me thoroughly entertained from start to finish. It delivers over-the-top, agnsty goodness at a breakneck pace with constant plot developments. It’s far from perfect, but it’s so much fun that it really doesn’t matter. If you’re a lover of pure makjang, then this is the drama for you. Just enjoy the crazy! (Penthouse: War in Life Review)
Penthouse: War in Life 2
Season 2 of Penthouse: War in Life rolls right along and continues the story from where we left off at the end of season 1. All of the crazy keeps going as we firmly stay in that juicy makjang territory. The pacing is again very swift, and there are some great twists and turns which keeps things interesting all the way through.
Penthouse 2 was another thrilling and engaging ride filled with revenge, deceit, and murder. It’s a fantastic continuation of the story as it connects the characters in new and interesting ways while serving up that over the top, angsty goodness that I love so much. So enjoy round two of the craziness! (Penthouse: War in Life 2 Review)
