A fan asked which among these scenarios would upset her most, and (one of the answers) Yujin picked was finding out her fan letters were written with Chat GPT.
In a viral clip, she explained her reasoning.
yujin being so against ai-written letters 😭 i love her
: but ppl use chatgpt a lot these days, like in homeworks
🐶 it can be but it’s a letter for me
: i can’t express my feelings well so i could get help from it
🐶 still, don’t write it at all if you’re gonna use chatgpt,… pic.twitter.com/WN4V5iLMqE

Fan: “But isn’t number 1 totally possible?”
YJ: “Really?”
Fan: “But these days people use ChatGPT a lot, like for assignments and stuff.”
YJ: “That makes sense, sure. But now, if it’s a letter to me…”
Fan: “Some people aren’t good at expressing themselves, so they use GPT to make it more detailed and write it better.”
YJ: “Even so, if you’re going to use ChatGPT, fine — but tell me beforehand. If I receive a letter and it smells like ChatGPT… I won’t just let it slide. So basically, it’s not allowed when it comes to me.”
Many fans showed their support for her choice.
I’m not sure if it’s fear of failure or an obsession with perfection or what, but ppl are forgetting that the struggle to find the right words is a big part of what makes expressing love so meaningful. You didn’t know what to say? Good. Thank you for trying so hard anyway. https://t.co/Nerst4dsJk
