Woo Do-hwan and Lee Sang-yi fight Rain in Bloodhounds 2

The boxing ring awaits us on Netflix for another rumble in the crime-action Bloodhounds 2, delivering their first one-two punch in promos with a new video teaser and poster set. And joining us from this corner are Season 1’s returning champions: Woo Do-hwan (Made in Korea) and Lee Sang-yi (Good Boy).
Given everything they went through over the course of the first season, back in 2023, it’s almost needless to say that our boxer buddies are forever cemented as found family. And they have even synced their daily schedules to train together and share meals. But despite proclaiming their everlasting love loyalty to each other, Kim Gun-woo (Woo Do-hwan) and Hong Woo-jin (Lee Sang-yi) do amusingly disagree on how best to grill the meat for the night’s barbecue.
Real trouble arrives, though, when the new big bad Rain (Red Swan) makes his sneering entrance in the cage and quickly becomes a menace to our two unsuspecting boys. Not to be out-glared, we next catch a glimpse of chaebol baddie Choi Siwon (DNA Lover) fuming, reprising his role from the thriller’s previous installment.
Presumably, this all involves the main conflict of this new season’s tale, when Gun-woo and Woo-jin learn about the shady dealings of an international boxing league that has been operating illegally underground. All hell then breaks loose as our stalwart heroes find themselves facing off against the dastardly villains, all the while danger and explosions ramp up over the teaser’s closing sequence.
With a runtime of 7 episodes, Netflix’s upcoming Bloodhounds 2 will be releasing next month on Friday, April 3. Production for the webtoon-adaptation continues from Season 1 under filmmaker Kim Joo-hwan (Office Black Belt) in both directing and scripts.
