Would You Rather #69
by DaebakGrits
In dramaland, leading ladies often find themselves torn between the love of two equally attractive men — a choice none of us would want to make! But what if you did have to pick between the frustrating lawyer and the adorkable police officer? In this feature, we ask you to make the difficult decisions — and we aren’t limiting our options to dreamy oppas.
Vote via the poll and feel free to use the comments to explain exactly how you were able to choose! So, Beanies:
WOULD YOU RATHER #68 RESULTS
The Beanies have spoken: when asked to choose between starring on a reality show with a celebrity they “hate to love” or defending their favorite celebrity against murder charges, most voters chose to make their television debut. Like @xpressemu, 55% of voters were drawn to the enemies-to-lovers dynamic and didn’t mind the idea of starring in their own version — even if every moment would be filmed and replayed for the audience. For @bomibeans, who has long had a “reality show appearance” on their bucket list, the decision was an easy one and far outweighed the pressure of defending a favorite celebrity in a murder trial would be overwhelming. For similar reasons, @unaspirated chose the reality show as the lesser of two evils — something they wouldn’t normally sign up for, but also unlikely to be a “complete disaster.”
Many camera-shy Beanies disagreed with the majority, though, deciding that the pressures of serving as a defense lawyer would be less stressful than appearing on a reality show. @Britney noted that the behind-the-scenes manipulation and audience reactions could take a significant “psychological and emotional toll” on a person, potentially making the experience far more stressful than a murder trial — especially for a lawyer trained to handle such high profile cases. Likewise, @jerrykuvira felt that the “fiasco” of a murder trial would be preferable to reality television because, unlike contestants who are at the mercy of producers, a lawyer has a degree of control, playing an active role in “directing how the trial turns.”
And then there’s @gikata, who’d rather hide a body in order to protect her celebrity and avoid either a trial or a reality TV appearance. That’s definitely one loophole to this poll that I didn’t see coming. 😂
