The move, however, quickly sparked backlash from international fans.
Get ready for all the payola, stream manipulations, and fraudulence that’s gonna happen. I hate when a company and their artists don’t compete fair but will always resort to being a fraud and inorganic. https://t.co/bbUUP45ABu

Many netizens claim the partnership could give HYBE even more influence over streaming exposure. Some accuse the company of using industry connections and platform partnerships to artificially boost visibility and inflate numbers for its artists.
it’s disgusting how this company can get away with so much fraudulence and fake numbers… no wonder their artists struggle on apple music https://t.co/GSJyvd6Fpf

Others questioned the fairness of large companies partnering closely with major streaming platforms, arguing it could create an uneven playing field within the music industry. A number of fans also raised suspicions about potential streaming manipulation and inflated metrics.
There was a time music used to be AUTHENTIC, now owners of music applications are easily bought by manipulative companies to push their fraud overrrated artists albums.
Hybe is like a ZOMBIE VIRUS inflicting the world with their poison. https://t.co/06qlOwlI5R

However, fans of HYBE artists have dismissed the accusations, calling them baseless and ridiculous.
HYBE is launching a podcast about music and artists and somehow K-pop stans still turned it into payola discourse. https://t.co/xqQbM5tcVc
