YouTuber Bokyem, who has 17.3 million subscribers, has caused a stir by announcing that he will give away a 50-pyeong apartment to his subscribers.
On the 1st, a video was uploaded to his YouTube channel “BokyemTV BK” introducing the apartment and stating his intention to give it away to subscribers. In his first new video in a while, Bokyem said, “I invested not just millions of won, but millions of dollars into this project,” adding, “That’s why I haven’t been able to upload videos for several months.”
In the video, Bokyem showed the inside of the apartment and explained the purpose of the event. He said, “Since I started broadcasting in 2012, I’ve always thought about one thing: what can I do for the viewers, how can I give back more?” He added, “I think those thoughts have ultimately brought me here.”
He continued, “After giving away a Lamborghini Urus to my subscribers, I saw many comments asking, ‘If you gave a Lamborghini, is the next thing a house?’ You were right,” and then said, “This time, it’s an apartment.”
The apartment Bokyem revealed is about 1,800 square feet (approximately 50 pyeong) in size and has been fully remodeled inside. He explained, “Much more money was spent than on the Lamborghini. If you look inside, each piece of furniture costs over ₩10.0 million KRW (about $6,790 USD),” indicating a significant investment.
Introducing various parts of the apartment, Bokyem said, “I wanted to give my subscribers a proper gift,” emphasizing, “It’s a token of appreciation for the love you’ve shown so far.”
Bokyem began his career on internet broadcasting platforms and gained popularity with game and talk content on his YouTube channel “BokyemTV BK.”
He has previously made headlines for holding large-scale events for his subscribers, giving away everything from electronic devices to high-priced cars like Porsche and Lamborghini. This apartment giveaway event is also attracting significant attention online immediately after its announcement, with comments reaching 380,000.
