In November 2025, Nana experienced a home invasion while staying with her mother. A man in his 30s, identified as Man A, is accused of breaking into Nana’s residence in Acheon-dong, Guri, Gyeonggi Province, and attempting to commit robbery. It was reported that Man A threatened Nana and her mother—allegedly choking them and demanding money—causing injuries during the process.

However, he was subdued at the scene, and the crime ultimately remained an attempted offense. The case was later sent to trial, but during the first hearing in January 2026, Man A denied most of the charges. His legal representative claimed, “He entered believing the home was empty and only intended to steal valuables. There was no intent to commit robbery. He was not carrying a weapon and was instead unilaterally assaulted.”
Police Make Decision On Attempted Murder Charges Against Nana
I encountered Nana’s mother in the living room. When she screamed, I only held her by wrapping my arm around her shoulder—I did not choke her. When I let go, thinking things had calmed down, Nana came out of the room and rushed at me, swinging a weapon.

The court has identified whether Man A possessed a weapon and whether assault occurred as key issues, and has called Nana and her mother as witnesses. The idol, who had previously postponed her court appearance due to official schedules, has now coordinated her attendance and will take the stand as a witness on April 21.
That all said, netizens are rallying behind Nana who now has to confront Man A in court when she and her mom were victimized of his actions. Comments slammed the Korean law for being written for the perpetrators and not protecting the victims.
