Since then, KATSEYE’s activities have been scrutinized, including their recent release “Pinky Up,” for not including Manon. KATSEYE’s activities at Coachella have also been discussed, with Manon’s attendance at another artist’s set sparking further speculation.

However, recent evidence has left fans with more questions regarding why Manon was placed on hiatus.
When Dream Academy first aired, viewers were introduced to the team that would help shape KATSEYE. One person on the team was Missy Paramo, atalent manager and producer. Popstar Academy offered a closer look at the group’s formation, including what many believed was Missy’s targeted treatment of Manon.

A post on X recently noticed that Missy updated her LinkedIn account, showing that her position has changed at HYBE America. Previously, Missy was the Senior Artist Operations Manager at the company, and beginning in March 2026, was now the Senior Director/Head of Artist Operations.
This is believed to have been a promotion that some believe gave her more control over KATSEYE. Some have outright accused her of this, suspicious of the timing with Manon’s hiatus.
