On April 20, KST, Jisoo’s agency, BLISSOO, released an official statement practically denying any link to her brother’s alleged crimes. The statement also clarified that the idol has been living independently from her family since her trainee days and has had no involvement in her brother’s life.

Amid this situation, Jisoo’s childhood has become a buzzing topic online. One particular story has resurfaced from a 2018 video, where Jisoo recalled how she developed a scar on her forehead as a child as a result of her brother’s prank.

The singer explained that her brother had convinced her that the smoke from the pesticide truck could kill her and asked her to climb up a structure on the playground. Trusting her elder brother, she scrambled up but ended up bumping her head against a railing, which ultimately resulted in that scar. However, the prank itself is not the topic of interest currently, but the reaction of Jisoo’s brother afterward.
Jisoo recalled that she was only five years old and so badly hurt that blood was streaming down her entire body. Even when she told her brother that she was bleeding, he just shrugged it off and told her to keep climbing. Jisoo remembered that she waited atop the playground structure until the pesticide truck had passed. Even then, her brother didn’t show any urgency, and she walked home while still bleeding. Upon reaching home, her family members cleaned her wound and applied a bandage, but she wasn’t taken to a hospital.

In the clip, the idol also revealed that her mother never took her to a hospital when she was hurt. “Because of that, I’ve suffered quite a few serious injuries over the years,” she candidly admitted.
This resurfaced clip has drawn netizens’ attention to Jisoo’s family, with many stating that the atmosphere in her home seems problematic.
