There’s a J-dorama getting adapted into a K-drama coming up and it’s one of those weird but comedic and heartwarming genres and has fresh names for the leads to change things up. Jang Geun Seok and Shin Eun Soo are in talks for the K-drama remake of Otoko Meshi, itself a live action adaptation of the same name Japanese novel. It’s about a college student that saves the life of a gangster who then moves in to stay safe and ends up being a master cook in remaking leftovers into incredible meals. It sounds like a J-type story so unsure how it will adapt to Korean aesthetics and different narrative tastes but overall this drama and casting is initially interesting to me.
