TV host and entertainer Mickey Huang has avoided jail time in his recent legal case.
In 2023, during Taiwan’s #MeToo movement, a woman came forward to accuse Huang of sexually harassing her when she was a teenager. Huang posted an apology to the woman for his “inappropriate actions” and was ultimately not charged with the allegations.
However, after this, another investigation led the police to find over 100 videos involving naked young girls and women on Mickey’s hard drive. They also discovered that he had been buying them from a hidden cam online community, known as “Creative Private Room,” also referred to as “Taiwan’s Nth Room.”

Mickey registered for the community on February 12, 2013, and purchased videos from August 8, 2017, to July 8, 2023, with the latter occurring right after his #MeToo confession and suicide attempt.
In the initial trial in December 2024, Mickey was found to have over 2,300 sexually explicit videos involving at least 35 minors aged between 10 and 17 and sentenced to 8 months in prison and a fine of around 3,400 USD.
In the most recent update, Huang’s sentence was upheld, earning him a one year and six months sentence suspended for four years. This means he will not go to jail at this time. He was also ordered to perform 180 hours of community service and attend three legal education sessions.
The High Court Of Taiwan stated that the suspended sentence was granted because Huang had no previous criminal record and had reached settlements with the victims.
