On December 30, the 2025 SBS Entertainment Awards took place, honoring the network’s best entertainers.
Many stars took home awards for their participation in SBS programs and shows, including several that appeared on the network’s show Kick A Goal. Kick A Goal is a football/soccer program showing women playing the sport.
During the awards show, the “Top Excellence Award” (female) was jointly awarded to one of Kick A Goal‘s stars, Kim Jin Kyung. While accepting her award, Kim revealed that she would be taking a break from soccer, due to being pregnant.

The model and actress got married to professional football player Kim Seung Gyu in June 2024, after the pair bonded over their love of the sport.

Kim Jin Kyung began her career in 2012, appearing on Korea’s Next Top Model, where she placed second. She made her acting debut in the 2016 drama Yellow. Since her debut, she has appeared in several variety shows, including We Got Married and Law Of The Jungle.
