Yet, despite the hype and love surrounding BTS at the awards, the reality in the past couldn’t have been more different, as RM revealed during the group’s recent show in Texas.

When making comments, RM unsurprisingly spoke about the AMAs and thanked ARMYs. Yet, he also shared the stark difference in how they were treated in 2017 to now.
In the video gaining attention, RM revealed that in 2017, at their first AMAs, they had no room to prepare and even had to do their makeup in the hallway, meaning they apologized whenever a big star walked past. Yet, RM shared that this time around, they had the biggest room and all the stars and staff were so kind to them.

RM’s comments broke netizens’ hearts because while they were so happy at how far BTS had come, they didn’t realize just how hard it was for the group.
