Recently, SHINee Onew‘s agency CEO garnered much attention after posting an Instagram story, only to delete it right away.
In the post was a screenshot of a KakaoTalk message, which included a social media post mentioning Onew.
Quoted X Post: Malicious Onew fans have continued to bash Taemin and his fans since before the comeback. The only sin Taemin has is being more popular than Onew.
Original X post: Hello! Solo stan does not equal malicious fans. Solo stans mean they like one member and don’t really care much about the others.
CEO: Attorney, I will proceed with legal action for all the tip-off emails received yesterday and today. Please continue catching those who harm the team, and if they cause damage by making rumors, just go ahead and post the fact notice we have been preparing.
Instagram story caption: We shouldn’t feel wronged, so let’s go.
Although fans understood the message’s intent, some fans agreed it wasn’t the right time to post on the day of the group concert.
“They posted that today, on the day of the concert, and then deleted it instantly. Fans keep fighting amongst themselves because they keep doing things like that. Fans are mad as it is the day of the concert. It would’ve been better to announce the lawsuit results or issue a legal notice, rather than posting on their personal Instagram in the middle of the night and then deleting it. (It could possibly be that they posted it while drunk.)
And the screenshot isn’t even a malicious comment. It was just a post saying something to a toxic Onew fan. They got caught following someone with their own account, so they deleted their account today. Is this what an entertainment company CEO does in the middle of the night?”
However, others felt there was no problem with calling out malicious commenters.

- “How is that a malicious comment? The user is just calling out the OP’s malicious comment.”
- “So what’s wrong with it? I don’t get it.”
- “Toxic fans are just mad because they announced they will report malicious comments.”
- “What’s wrong with reporting malicious comments?”
- “How bad must it be for them to post that…”
