Actress Min Dohee has revealed that she has officially quit her café job after working there for more than a year.
On June 17, Min Dohee uploaded a video titled “I Quit My Café Part-Time Job” to her YouTube channel, where she reflected on the experience and how it changed her life. The actress admitted that she never expected the job to last as long as it did.
“I’ve worked there for over a year now. I never thought I’d stay this long.”
Looking back, however, she said taking the position ended up being one of the best decisions she could have made. Min Do Hee candidly opened up about the difficult period that led her to seek part-time work.
According to the actress, there was a stretch of time when acting opportunities became scarce, leaving her feeling isolated and discouraged. The actress explained that having a routine and responsibilities gave her a renewed sense of purpose. Through working at the café, she realized what she had been missing.
“When I wasn’t working, I became very small in my own mind. I was always depressed and down. I realized what I really wanted was simply to be needed by someone. I became more energetic. It felt good to feel useful. I received a lot of positive influence from the experience.”
Min Dohee also revealed that this was actually her first part-time job despite being in her 30s. The actress explained that she ultimately decided to leave because acting opportunities have recently started increasing again.
“I’ve been getting schedules related to my main profession. I think it’s time to wrap up the part-time job.”
Min Dohee first rose to fame through the hit tvN drama Reply 1994, where she became one of the breakout stars of the series. She previously promoted as an idol with the group Tiny G.
