The mom of a popular The Return of Superman family has addressed the controversy that erupted due to the family members’ recent actions.
Earlier, on July 8th, Lee Dong Gook’s wife Lee Su Jin shared videos of the whole family cheering for Argentina and Egypt’s round of 16 match at the World Cup.

The children were seen shouting, jumping over the sofa, and running on the floor with intense excitement, with no attempts to restrain them shown in the footage. Since the video was recorded at 3 a.m., netizens criticized the family for disturbing apartment residents.
On July 10th, Lee Su Jin opened up on her social media, saying, “It has already been nearly two weeks since the children’s summer vacation began. While the break is a happy time with more moments spent together with the kids, raising five children and managing various tasks sometimes makes me reflect on myself.”
She continued, “Recently, during the early morning hours, when Messi scored a goal in the World Cup match, I got so excited that one of the children ran around, causing discomfort to our neighbors. I believe this is not something to take lightly as just the child’s behavior, but a responsibility I, as a parent, must bear.”
Lee Su Jin added, “I sincerely apologize for not being considerate of those around us during the late hours. Moving forward, I will be more attentive and make sure such incidents do not happen again,” reiterating her apology.
Meanwhile, Lee Dong Gook married Lee Su Jin, a former Miss Korea, in 2005. They have five children—four daughters and one son—and the family gained much affection from appearing on KBS2’s The Return of Superman.
