Lee Jin-wook, Yoon-ah, Cha Kang-yook
- Preparations continue for the investigative medical Unnatural, with offers now reportedly out to Lee Jin-wook (Beyond the Bar) and Cha Kang-yoon (The Dream Life of Mr. Kim) to potentially join Yoon-ah (Bon Appetit Your Majesty) in the leading lineup. Adapted from the 2018 Japanese series by the same title, PD Park Yoo-young (Ms Incognito, The Kidnapping Day) is attached to direct the Korean remake. [Ilgan Sports, YTN]
- D.O. (The Manipulated) is in talks to turn horror for his next project, which would see him trapped and sadly left not rescued in We Are the Zombies. Set against the backdrop of a zombie-infested (and presumably quarantined) shopping mall, the story follows our hero as he tries to survive amidst the still-living as well as the undead. Production for the black comedy and webtoon-adaptation is currently in the early stages. [Newsen, Star News]
- New stills have dropped on Netflix, showcasing the main characters of Our Sticky Love, starring the self-proclaimed boyfriend Jung Hae-in (Love Next Door) and amnesia-ridden prosecutor Ha Young (Teach You a Lesson), as well as baddie Heo Sung-tae (Fifties Professionals). The 12-episode rom-com will be launching on August 7, with directing by PD Kim Jang-han (My Demon) and scripts by Mo Ji-hye (You Raise Me Up). [SBS]
- It’s a busy 2026 for Park Ji-hyun (See You at Work Tomorrow) who is said to be reviewing the role of a police officer in Paradise (roughly translated). And if the stars align, she’ll be teaming up with a journalist Lee Jong-seok (Law and the City) to uncover the truth behind the mystery tale at hand. Expected to release sometime in 2027, the series is being led by PD Oh Choong-hwan (Melo Movie) and writer Kim Soo-jin (Beyond Evil). [iZE, Newsen]
- On tvN’s My Bias, My Boss, promos continue with the office rom-com’s latest video teasers (found here and here) of our three entangled leads: Kim Hye-joon (Cashero), Kang Hoon (Hunter with a Scalpel), and Cha Woo-min (Spirit Fingers). Slated to premiere on August 3, the webtoon-adaptation follows See You at Work Tomorrow in the Monday-Tuesday slot. [Osen]
- Speaking of Kim Hye-joon – another busy bee – Disney+ has come out with a new bundle of character stills for A Shop for Killers 2. With Lee Dong-wook (The Nice Guy) also returning to reprise his role in Season 2 alongside other familiar faces, in addition to some new faces like Japanese actor Okada Masaki (Tagusari Bros), the action-thriller and novel-adaptation will be coming to our screens on July 22 next week. PD Lee Kwon (Rescue Me 2) remains at the helm, handling both directing and scripts. [Newsen]
