While discussing his career, Yoon revealed that his current physique is actually his natural body. However, there was a time when he lost 34kg after filming The Battleship Island and appeared with his slimmer figure in Goblin.

The actor said the experience taught him that changing his appearance didn’t necessarily open more opportunities. Instead, it had the opposite effect.
Things finally turned around when he was cast in the film Intimate Strangers. According to Yoon, the director specifically wanted someone who looked neglected and weighed over 100kg, so he gained the weight back for the role.
