When an exciting, new show is announced, K-Drama fans eagerly add it to their watch lists. Unfortunately, some highly anticipated new series fell flat for viewers in December 2025. Here are 5 K-Dramas that viewers couldn’t finish watching.

    1. Dynamite Kiss

On November 12, Netflix released a new romantic comedy series, Dynamite Kiss. It follows a desperate job-seeker, who lies her way into steady employment at a baby products company by pretending to be a married mother. Things get complicated when she finds out that her team leader is the man she had a whirlwind romance with in Jeju.

Although this series started off strong, even some of its biggest fans dropped it before the finale.

    2. Would You Marry Me?

This tvN romantic comedy is about the heir to South Korea’s oldest bakery and a small business owner, who enter a fake marriage to win a gorgeous newlywed home.

One fan who dropped the show found it “boring” and said that the leads lacked “chemistry.”

    3. Beyond the Bar

Beyond the Bar premiered on August 2 on JTBC, with Netflix releasing two episodes weekly. This legal-themed show follows a rookie lawyer and her cold, demanding mentor.

Beyond the Bar promised political intrigue and a deep dive into what “justice” really means, but some viewers lost interest in the show due to an “icky” romance and a “dumpster fire of a plot.”

This KBS series follows twin brothers. After their parents’ divorce, one moved to the United States and returns to Korea each summer. During his visits, he spends time with his childhood friend, who is secretly crushing on him. Years later, after tragedy strikes, he’s reunited with his friend…but everything has changed.

One viewer ended up dropping this series because of the main leads’ lack of chemistry.
