Promos are now in full swing for ENA’s upcoming legal-mystery Honor, with Lee Na-young (One Day Off), Jung Eun-chae (The Dream Life of Mr. Kim), and Lee Chung-ah (Hide) becoming our story’s main attorney trio in the first poster and teaser, as well as the script reading stills.
Having first met in college a 20-odd years ago, our lady leads are long-time friends in addition to being colleagues at the L&J Law Firm. As a celebrity personality, Yoon Ra-young (Lee Na-young) is the main spokesperson and face of their business, while the even-keeled Kang Shin-jae (Jung Eun-chae) is L&J’s CEO. And last but not least, the spirited and fiery Hwang Hyun-jin (Lee Chung-ah) is rarely at her desk, spending most of her time doing leg work on the field in order to thoroughly investigate each case.
Having dedicated their firm to helping victims and not the perpetrators – who are often much more powerful and well-connected – we see in the trailer that it’s a fierce fight for our underdog heroes. But the trio are putting all their brains and brawn together, and are determined to battle in the courts until the bitter end, in order to restore the honor of their clients.
Filling out the story world, we’ll be seeing Yeon Woo-jin (A Virtuous Business) playing IT company CEO Baek Tae-joo; Seo Hyun-woo (Ms. Incognito) playing L&J’s rival prosecutor Park Je-yeol; and Hyun-jin’s husband Choi Young-joon (The Price of Confession) in the role of detective Gu Seon-kyu.
The supporting cast also includes Shin-jae’s mother Kim Mi-sook (As You Stood By) and former judge Lee Hae-young (Buried Hearts) as well as other talents.
Adapted from the 2019 Swedish series by the same title, production for ENA’s remake of Honor has PD Park Gun-ho (Dongjae the Good or the Bastard) directing and scripts by Park Ga-yeon (Train). Slated to premiere on February 2, the series follows I Dol I in the Monday-Tuesday slot.
