Lee Min-jung splits with Kim Ji-suk in Okay Let’s Divorce

The rings are off and the path is cleared to Okay Let’s Divorce on KBS, leading the way to untie the knot between Lee Min-jung (Once Again) and Kim Ji-suk (New Recruit 2) in the latest promos.
Whether it be their home life or at work, where Baek Mi-young (Lee Min-jung) and Ji Won-ho (Kim Ji-suk) run a wedding dress company together, our married leads have each been saying that enough is enough. Because there doesn’t seem to be anything that the two can agree on and any attempt at civil discussion inevitably devolves into fights.
A big chunk of it is an issue of pride, with both sides feeling unrecognized by the other and squabbling over who did ‟more” to build their brand from the ground up. In actuality, it was their joint effort that helped them achieve success and it couldn’t have been done without Won-ho prioritizing dress design alongside Mi-young’s business management.
But the sequence tells us that there are deeper problems in our main relationship as well and it traces back to when they sadly lost their child. And even though it’s not anyone’s fault, perhaps our leads are looking for someone to blame and it’s being projected onto one another while they continue to struggle with their grief.
Also starring Lee Hyun-jin (Gold Mask) and Lee Jini (The Dream Life of Mr. Kim), the supporting cast includes Wang Bit-na (Crushology 101) and Jung Eui-je (Siren’s Kiss), in addition to Ahn Nae-sang (Fifties Professionals) and Oh Yeon-ah (Walking on Thin Ice).
Premiering next week on August 19 in the Wednesday-Thursday slot, KBS’s upcoming romance Okay Let’s Divorce has PD Joo Sung-woo (Man in the Kitchen) directing and writing by Hwang Ji-eon.
