An idol-turned-actress, who was once rumored to be dating BIGBANG’s G-Dragon (GD), expressed a sincere desire for romance.
The SBS variety show Running Man that aired on August 16th featured guests Apink‘s Jung Eunji, After School member-turned-actress Lee Jooyeon, and Kim Ji Eun escaping the sweltering 37-degree heat with a “Beat the Heat Vacation” race at Gwangmyeong Cave.
Meeting Lee Jooyeon again on Running Man after eight years, Ji Suk Jin asked, “Are you in love these days?”
Lee Jooyeon honestly responded, “I’m not able to love right now. In the past, work was honestly more important than love, but since about a year ago, I want to be in love.” She shyly added, “I need to meet a good man soon. Is there any good man around?”
When the Running Man cast recommended, “Se Chan here is a really good man,” Lee Jooyeon waved her hand and immediately declined with “No,” turning the scene into a burst of laughter.
Hearing this, Haha and other members recalled the subtle romantic tension from eight years ago and pointed at Yang Se Chan as if they had been waiting for this moment.
When members insisted, “Se Chan here is truly a good guy,” Lee Jooyeon immediately rejected it with a wave of her hand and a “No,” causing a laughter-filled atmosphere.
This refusal quickly escalated into a playful back-and-forth of revelations. Haha asked, “You were an idol too, right, Jooyeon?” to which she replied, “Are you an idol killer? I heard about that too. Who is it?” as she pressed Yang Se Chan about his past relationships, adding mysteriously, “I think I know.”
Yang Se Chan fired back, “You think I only date idols? That’s not true,” showing irritation but also challenging her, “I know the people you’ve dated too. Shall we talk? Let’s see who has bigger fallout.”
Faced with Yang Se Chan’s sharp comeback, Lee Jooyeon quickly tried to diffuse the situation by saying, “Let’s both be quiet,” ending the spicy exchange.
Lee Jooyeon was once embroiled in five dating rumors with BIGBANG’s G-Dragon in the past, but neither ever officially confirmed a relationship.
