CORTIS’s newest song is causing a major stir among netizens for allegedly disrespecting popular female singer HANRORO.

    | @cortis/Instagram

The track, “MONEYMONEYMONEY,” was performed for the first time at PUT YOUR PHONE DOWN BIRTHDAY PARTY in Seoul this weekend, and one lyric in particular has sparked intense backlash: “I want to be someone who makes money while having fun, Pororo / Adding 0 after 0 in my bank account, HANRORO.”

Even if they made it private, the fact that CORTIS did this doesn’t change..

On the surface, the line references CORTIS’s rise to riches, but the lyrics are also a play on HANRORO’s song “0+0.”

Given the deeper meaning of the track, Korean netizens are slamming the shout-out as “disrespectful.”

A shout-out is usually something you do to show respect, but isn’t it true that slapping someone’s name into a rhyme that isn’t even funny and just sticking random words onto it is disrespectful?

I’m annoyed that they acted disrespectfully toward another artist, but all the quote reactions are like “this is so fucking funny, aren’t they a genius?” << and that made me even more annoyed…

<< 이런 반응이라서 더 짜증낫음… https://t.co/1GR3uTYoaT pic.twitter.com/UfiYGmanAN

How much longer are they going to keep putting out songs that are basically cyber-trash?

If you don’t think this is rude, maybe start questioning whether your intelligence is even at a human level.

The title of “0+0” is often interpreted as referring to feeling like “zero” and having little to offer, while the song’s lyrics offer a message of hope to those in that position. In an interview, HANRORO explained, “‘I’m not going to leave you, and you feel the same way, right?’ Something along those lines. That’s the kind of thing I was trying to express.”

It was already rude to put her name in there like that, but what really shocked me was the way they used the song “0+0.” Do they even know what this song was trying to convey when it was made?

    — X user

이 곡이 뭘 전하려고 만든 노랜지 알기나 할까 https://t.co/L0VaSVy3Oz pic.twitter.com/bCFFkBfzg9

    — 여운 (@bmtxb) August 22, 2026

As a result, many see CORTIS’s reference to the song in a completely different context as rude and dismissive of the song’s meaning. Others are going deeper, accusing the group of misogynistic behavior toward HANRORO.

Just like a typical ‘hannam,’ the easy target is a female singer.

It feels like deep down they’re the kind of ‘hannams’ who sit around writing lyrics like this and giggling among themselves, and it makes me feel like shit. Seriously…

    — X user

Wow, they really sound just like typical Korean teenage boys.

    — 건적 (@gunjeok_zz) August 22, 2026

On the flip side, international fans have pushed back at the allegations, with many viewing the line as a harmless reference rather than a dig at HANRORO.

I’m absolutely sure that Cortis and HANRORO don’t feel any hatred toward each other, and Cortis definitely didn’t make a diss track about her. Why are these people already offended on their behalf and demanding things? https://t.co/Uj14lA1Ohy pic.twitter.com/rwbdJpwlH3

    — ian (@KkmMkkm66933) August 22, 2026

context: one of the line in moneymoneymoney goes “stacking up zeros to my bank account like hanroro”. just cuz hanroro has a song called 0+0. and in cortis original lyrics they were just flexing about how much money (zeros) they have in their bank account. i see no harm at all…
