A female K-Pop idol is facing an unexpected setback as she prepares to give birth in October.
On August 25th, a video talking about the issue was uploaded by Rainbow‘s Go Woori.
In the video, she mentioned, “My due date will likely be in the first or second week of October,” referring to the upcoming birth. However, her husband cautiously said, “I might have to go on a business trip to the U.S. around that time, but the schedule is uncertain.”
Caught off guard by her husband’s unexpected remark, Go Woori couldn’t hide her surprise. She expressed honestly, “What am I supposed to do if he goes on a business trip on the due date? Even if it’s before that, he won’t be here.”
She then said, “Ah, this is bad,” revealing her true feelings. She also suggested a solution, saying, “He should go while I’m in the postpartum care center. It might be better for me to be alone at the care center.”
Reflecting on the situation, she recalled, “This is the worry I had. Even when we were dating, he had so many business trips that we only had one or two dates a month. I thought, he’s really a busy person.”
Nonetheless, Go Woori showed understanding, saying, “I’m a bit lenient when it comes to things that can’t be helped because of work,” and added, “Now is a time to work hard for the child. Although I will inevitably have to take care of the baby on my own, what can we do? In times like this, that’s how it has to be. I understand.”
At the same time, she confessed her fear, saying, “Though I say this, I’m actually scared,” and asked, “Will I be able to do well?” evoking sympathy.
Go Woori married a businessman five years her senior in 2022 and is expecting her first child this October.
