Recently, pictures of Sunghoon posing with a fan emerged on social media, triggering a heated response. Many fans claimed that the person in the picture was a sasaeng fan who had chased him at an airport and even followed the idol into his hotel room a few months ago.
The way Belift prioritizes money over their artists safety is insanely disgusting
Why is the sasaeng who followed Sunghoon and chased him in the airport airport bathroom and the hotel, taking a picture with him? why isn’t there a restraint order against her why is she not banned? pic.twitter.com/7EucVzhpAn

The outrage has been majorly directed toward BELIFT LAB, the label that manages ENHYPEN. Fans are left questioning why management failed to identify the stalker when fans did it so easily. Many are convinced that the label is prioritizing money over its artists’ safety, and some have even raised questions about whether HYBE’s bigger business model relies on such questionable tactics.
thats the sasaeng who chased him in the airport and follow him into his hotel and instead of getting a restraint order against her she is able to get this close and take a picture? why? bc she paid for it? its obvious belift’s only priority is money and never the artist’s safety. https://t.co/jDu2lh8RQR pic.twitter.com/Oc1uhp6D4m

What you want @BELIFTLAB? This girl is SUNGHOON stalker, and you let her be chosen for photo event? Look how’s crazy u?! Where’s the “legal action” you’re talking about?! pic.twitter.com/CKydc1CLeI

it’s really scary that he’d probably recognise her more than anybody else bc of the terror he had to go through being followed more than once and even being chased after. and belift had never done smth to take actions regardless of those “notices” they’ve put up https://t.co/jf7Q1SL1xz

imagine the emotional toll he went thru having to face someone who’s been harassing him over and over. @BELIFTLAB how serious does it have to get before u MAYBE give a fuck and start treating your artist like a human being instead of putting out empty notices? money hungry fucks https://t.co/OqOru9e0eS

HYBE’s business model includes selling inappropriate idol access to fans. It’s an industry-wide problem, but I was told that BELIFT caters to stalker fans more than the other HYBE sublabels. Staff also routinely sell idols’ personal information and private photos/videos. https://t.co/gHFBrdMO5U

BELIFT LAB is yet to respond to the controversy.
