Composer Yoon Sang recently appeared on a variety show and shared that his second son is preparing to become an idol, following in the footsteps of his older brother, RIIZE’s Anton.
He revealed that his younger son, Junyoung, is training to make his debut as an idol.
In the episode, he also shared the journey of how his oldest son became an idol. He admitted that he had been unaware of his son’s chosen career path until later on.
Even I didn’t know. I think Chanyoung’s personality played a part in why he didn’t mention it. He stopped swimming, a sport he had done for ten years, when pools closed due to COVID-19.

It turns out that Anton spent a lot of time thinking about his career path after he stopped swimming, and in the process, he discovered his passion for music.
The biggest reason he came to accept his son’s new career path was due to the music his son produced himself.
I gave him my permission to become an idol after listening to the demo tapes he created. I felt he had a natural gift for music.

He was also surprised when he watched his son perform on stage.
There’s no history of dancing in our family, so it was amazing to see him enjoying the stage. I can only imagine how much effort he must have put into it to come this far.
