A K-Pop girl group idol congratulated fellow group member on her marriage, while also revealing her honest thoughts about the news.
On the afternoon of September 8th, Lovelyz‘s Ryu Sujeong held an interview with OSEN at a cafe in Seoul, to commemorate the release of her fourth mini album, “ALL THE COLORS I AM.”
This fourth mini album, “ALL THE COLORS I AM,” is an album that reflects Ryu Sujeong’s unique and deep inner self beyond conventional boundaries. It depicts an honest journey of embracing wounds, becoming stronger over time, and finding one’s own light.
Lovelyz, the group Ryu Sujeong belongs to, previously performed together as a full group at the 2025 KBS Song Festival last year. Since it was a stage performed with the members after a long time, it was expected to be emotionally meaningful.
Ryu Sujeong said, “It’s been such a long time since we performed as Lovelyz. It felt so strange, almost like we performed yesterday. That feeling was really unusual. It’s amazing to feel familiarity even when you haven’t met for a long time. It’s not something that disappears with a short break. I felt grateful and cherished.”
Meanwhile, the group welcomed its first married member. Yoo Jiae announced that she will marry actor Kwak Si Yang in November.

Regarding this, Ryu Sujeong said, “Since we were young, unnie used to say half-joking, half-serious that her dream was to be a virtuous wife. I found it amazing that she fulfilled that dream. It made me think, ‘Does what you say really come true?’ so I decided to start voicing my own dreams too.” She added, “She’s someone filled with so much love, so I’m happy that she found a partner.”
When asked if she had met her brother-in-law Kwak Si Yang, Ryu Sujeong replied, “I haven’t met him yet, but he appeared in my dream. Even though I’d already heard the news, I was still shocked. I dreamt about my brother-in-law.”
When asked what she would say if they met in person, Ryu Sujeong said, “I think I’d say, ‘Congratulations on your marriage, and please promise to guarantee Lovelyz’s activities.’”
What about Ryu Sujeong’s own marriage plans? She said, “I have no plans for marriage. Even when we jokingly talk about who will get married first, they say, ‘Sujeong probably won’t get married until the end.’ I have so many things I want to do and a strong desire to work, so I don’t think I’m ready for marriage yet.”
