A Korean star visited the columbarium of her eldest son, who passed away at the tender age of five, triggering heartbreak.
On September 13th, a photo was shared on social media by comedian Sung Hyun Joo, who visited the columbarium where her eldest son, Seo Hu, is resting.
Seo Hu passed away at the age of five in 2020 due to sepsis, which caused much sorrow.
The released photo shows Sung Hyun Joo’s husband and her younger daughter. The younger daughter, nestled in her father’s arms, is reaching out with her small hand toward her older brother’s urn.
Meanwhile, Sung Hyun Joo debuted as a KBS 22nd generation public recruitment comedian and married a businessman six years her senior in 2011. However, in 2020, she endured the pain of losing her eldest son.
Afterward, Sung Hyun Joo expanded her activities as a writer by publishing an essay titled Your Well-being, which captures her longing for her son and her journey through illness. All royalties from the book were donated to Seoul National University Children’s Hospital to support children undergoing treatment.
In September of last year, she shared the news of giving birth to her second daughter, receiving many congratulations and support.
