She was featured on a new song by the group.

On September 14, KST, LE SSERAFIM released a brand new remix of their single “Made My Night” with KPop Demon Hunters star EJAE as a featuring artist. While the collaboration has earned high praise, an unexpected controversy ended up unfolding afterwards.
Shortly after the new song’s release, some posts on social media claimed that EJAE had bashed LE SSERAFIM behind closed doors, critiquing the group’s singing skills. These allegations were based on a Weibo post by a netizen who supposedly goes to the Berklee College of Music.

According to the post, when EJAE gave a lecture at Berklee in 2024, which the OP (original poster) attended, a student played a demo for her, saying they were considering sending the song to either LE SSERAFIM or MAMAMOO member Hwasa. EJAE then allegedly told the student not to give the song to the girl group, claiming that they were “bad singers.” She apparently told the student that, as a songwriter, they should consider the artist’s vocal range as well, and opined that the demo was better suited for Hwasa.
The story spread quickly across social media, leaving many fans enraged.

However, many fans have also questioned the authenticity of this entire account, pointing out that it was highly unlikely that a comment like that would go unnoticed for so long.
ejae is a huge person in the industry, if she actually said this there would have been so many sources posting about it, but there wasn’t, there’s 0 proof she actually said it. it’s probably just some anti that was trying to stir up trouble during the hate train https://t.co/qK49YuiJDX
— lynn ♡ (@lynnfim) September 14, 2026
have we considered that it’s possible the person talking about their conversation with ejae was a lsfm anti? they brought up lsfm first and it was in the middle of the hate train, it’s possible they lied about what she said in order to spew hate, or are we convinced she said it?

I am gonna put my ejae endings on hold I need solid evidence

In addition to the lack of evidence, a recent Instagram joint-livestream by EJAE and LE SSERAFIM’s Yunjin has also made fans question the validity of the story, given that the former very openly praised the idol for her vocals on a song she co-wrote.
ok im starting to believe the theory that some lesserafim anti made those fake news in 2024 or maybe not but im glad shes praising jen now https://t.co/jhpsiXYOlS

yunjin and ejae’s reactions when they both told each other they’re each other’s biggest fans.. they continued to just keep praising each other 😭❤️🩹
they’re also glad to have finally meet face-to-face since ejae also worked on “so cynical” before pic.twitter.com/2Gs0f0Mi0L

Given that the story is completely unverified, fans’ reactions toward EJAE’s collaboration with LE SSERAFIM remain ambiguous.
