Lee Min Ho’s new venture was reported in Korean media, but sparked a wave of backlash from netizens.
In the comments under the article, netizens claimed he was trying to make money as easily as possible, while others criticized his acting, believing he started on TikTok because he wasn’t getting any project offers. Some of the comments bluntly criticized other aspects of Lee Min Ho, from his visuals , age, and actions.
- “Someone whose acting is always exactly the same;;;”
- “Does he just want to make money the easy way?”
- “Rather than just sitting around doing nothing, he probably figures he might as well do this since it makes him money. Nobody’s calling him for work, but his pride probably means he doesn’t want to look for another kind of job, or doesn’t want to do one. You can kind of guess what’s going on.”
- “Why don’t you try doing something like a sitcom?”
- “His acting is still the same, he’s getting older, and he wants to make money~ Considering how much he’s already made with that level of acting, that should be enough. Seems like he’s being too greedy.”
- “If you’re middle-aged, you should act your age. How long are you going to go around pretending you’re still an idol?”
- “He’s becoming more and more unappealing.”
- “He’s at an awkward point now because of his age… He could either make as much money as he can and retire, or diversify his acting direction so that even as he gets older, he can play a variety of roles.”
- “He’s finished now….”
