Recently, a fan posted a clip of Felix at a studio recording, hitting a high note, praising his vocals. The post quickly drew a lot of attention, garnering over 2 million views.
felix’s high note gave me chills he’s so talented 🥹 pic.twitter.com/W6UBGFkU2V

However, the response to the post turned sour quickly. While some netizens simply expressed their concern about the idol using the wrong vocal techniques and potentially injuring his vocal chords, others went down the road of brutal ridicule.
this clip confirms he isn’t a true baritone because that high note sounds very forced he’s just a tenor with zero vocal technique, forcing to be a baritone https://t.co/crtiaEss7G

This backlash ended up fueling further hate for the idol as more posts criticizing his vocals started popping up on social media. The main criticism appeared to be that Felix was “forcing” his deep voice in an unnatural manner.
this is genuinely the worst vocal tone a man could possibly have https://t.co/OetwOsbicd

Idk, but the way he forces that voice is such an insult to idols who actually have naturally deep voices. https://t.co/8Cd8lQf84h

the forced deep voice..he’s so cringe 😭 https://t.co/KAL5fPrk3K

However, fans have defended Felix strongly, arguing that there are multiple instances that easily prove Felix’s voice is naturally deep. Some were also amused by the fact that the only “dirt” netizens could find on the idol was something so inconsequential.
mind you that this is just how a natural deep voice sounds when they speak in a lower tone, which was the case with him doing ASMR.
how can they say that voice is forced if his father literally has the same voice? this forced hate train has literally no basis. https://t.co/ad3LH7ORDp pic.twitter.com/CVQ04UCdfu
