Park Na Rae Directly Addresses The Mysteries Surrounding The “Injection Auntie”

Korean media Daily Sports conducted an interview with Park Na Rae, which originally took place before Park Na Rae released a video on the 17th of last month stating, “There are facts that need to be calmly verified regarding the current issues raised, so legal procedures are underway,” and “I will not make any further public statements or explanations during this process.”

Respecting the intent expressed in her video, Daily Sports did not publish the interview at the time. However, considering that Park Na Rae’s position has been repeatedly disclosed through YouTube and other platforms, and that the former manager’s additional allegations continue to emerge, the decision was made after deliberation to report on it.

Park Na Rae is currently under suspicion of having received illegal medical procedures from a non-medical practitioner known as “injection auntie” C. Park Na-rae told Daily Sports, “I believed C was a licensed medical professional.”

    – Earlier you stated you thought the so-called “Injection Auntie” was a doctor.

    “Yes.”

    – When did you first meet the “injection auntie”?

“About 3 to 4 years ago. A staff member from a program recommended her for a treatment, and I first met her at a plastic surgery clinic. I remember the location was near Cheongdam-dong, Seoul.

The clinic arranged everything, and since she claimed to be a doctor, I didn’t outright ask if she had a medical license. Naturally, I assumed C was a doctor because she presented herself as one. She actually gave off the impression of being a doctor. I’ve been to many plastic surgery clinics and know that often the doctors performing treatments and the heads of clinics are different people. So I thought she was the head doctor.”

    – Was there any other reason you mistook the “injection auntie” for a real doctor?

“The clinic had a sign that said ‘Representative OOO,’ and she was called the representative there. Nurses and doctors were also referred to as ‘representative,’ and since I knew that clinic heads often only provided consultations while the actual procedures were done by paid doctors, I thought that was the case. She also told me she was a fan of mine. That’s how our connection began.”
