Netflix‘s popular Korean dating-reality show is back with a fifth season and new singles who are looking for love on an island. In the first four episodes, released on January 20, six women and seven men were introduced. Here are 8 things you might not know about the cast:
1. Rumor has it that Kim Go Eun dated BIGBANG’s G-Dragon.
Back in March 2025, it was rumored that G-Dragon was dating Miss Korea star Kim Go Eun. Industry insiders pointed out that the speculation likely arose from Kim Go Eun’s extensive network within the entertainment sector, which overlaps significantly with G-Dragon’s social circles.

2. The optician is also a rookie actor.
Many Single’s Inferno 5 cast members work in beauty or entertainment, but Woo Sung Min has a much different career; he’s an optician working at his family’s business.

However, online sleuths discovered that Woo actually does have a background in entertainment. He acted in several K-Dramas between 2015 and 2018 under the name Woo Ki Hoon, including Solomon’s Perjury, The Missing, and The Ghost Detective.

3. Sports star Kim Min Ji has been on several variety shows.
Kim Min Ji (also known as Kim Min Gee) has been on King of Masked Singer, Shooting Stars, Knowing Bros., and King of Survival: Tribal War.

4. Kim Jae Jin was a survival show contestant.
In 2024, this dancer extraordinaire competed on Stage Fighter, a survival program in which male dancers from ballet, contemporary dance, and Korean traditional dance genres competed in ranked battles.

5. Kim Go Eun has a famous father.
She is the daughter of former soccer player Kim Hyun Soo, who played from 1991 to 2007.

6. Lee Sung Hun was accused of cheating on his ex-girlfriend
Lee Sung Hun, also known as Samuel Lee, was introduced in Episode 2. In the past, he publicly dated Hena Yang, an influencer with over a million followers on TikTok.

7. Youn Hyun Jae is a certified beauty king.
He became the first runner-up in 2024 Mister International Korea and won Mister Global Korea 2024.

8. Choi Mina Sue was previously on a survial show.
She appeared on Battle for Tenancy: Penthouse in 2022. In this show, participants competed for a total prize of up to 400 million won. It took place in an abandoned building.
