Jisoo subscribes to Boyfriend on Demand

Tired of dating but still looking for romance? Then look no further than Netflix’s upcoming romantic-comedy Boyfriend on Demand. Starring Blackpink’s Jisoo (Newtopia) and Seo In-guk (Twelve), this love story jumps into the fantasy world of dating stimulation and finding your happily-ever-after in a digital age.
Seo Mi-rae (Jisoo) is an overworked webtoon editor tired of the daily grind. Unable to find romance in the real world, she tries out the online service “Boyfriend on Demand” and is whisked to a shiny paradise filled with handsome men. All she has to do, according to Yoo Inna (Bora! Deborah), is put on her ring, and when she wants to log out, just take it off.
Spring romances filled with cherry blossoms, shiny ball gowns with prince charming waiting down the steps, matching outfits with your campus heartthrob, or the classic celebrity-bodyguard entanglements, this service provides all the fantasies your heart desires. With an endless array of possibilities at her fingertips, Mi-rae logs out of reality and dives head first into her virtual dating subscription. The only question she has to answer is who will she be dating today?
In the real world, though, Mi-rae is surrounded by people like her colleague and rival webtoon editor Park Kyeong-nam. He is the person our heroine would least like to meet, but negative emotions aside, she acknowledges his skills at work. However, in order for their rivalry to turn into something more, Kyeong-nam will have to woo Mi-rae from her virtual boyfriends, but the competition will be hard since he will be up against Seo Kang-joon (Undercover High School), Lee Soo-hyuk (S Line), and Lee Jae-wook (Last Summer) among many others.
Directed by PD Kim Jung-shik (No Gain No Love) with scripts written by Namgoong Do-young, Boyfriend on Demand drops ten episodes on March 6.
