A current airline captain was found dead at home, stabbed with a weapon, prompting a police investigation.

According to police and the aviation industry on the 17th, around 7:15 a.m., Captain A, in his 50s, was discovered stabbed to death in an apartment in Busanjin District, reported Yonhap News.

Police have identified Captain B, who previously worked with A, as the prime suspect and are searching for him.

It is estimated that A was attacked around 5:30 a.m. that day.

Right after the crime, B is believed to have fled toward Changwon in Gyeongnam Province.

B reportedly also attempted to commit a crime against Captain C in Ilsan, Goyang City, Gyeonggi Province, on the 16th, but failed.

So far, B is known to have acted out of resentment against former colleagues.

Some pilots have reportedly requested police protection for their safety.
