Recently, Prince shared a video answering questions about assumptions.
During the video, a fan asked about idols personalities being tailored for the camera.
Surprisingly, while some idols might shy away, Prince was honest when he said it was somewhat true, but made sure to clarify it wasn’t in a negative way. The idol explained that sometimes being “fake” is just to create something entertaining and comes from exaggerating behavior.
This is somewhat true.
Sometimes we have to fake it for the camera because if we don’t fake it, then it will be boring and nobody wants boring content. So, our personalities, I don’t think it’s necessarily fake, it is a lot of the time, exaggerated, because that’s also part of the main job of being an idol, to entertain.

Yet, he explained that the somewhat true comes from the fact that he believes it is not fully fake but exaggerated, as idols need to entertain fans.
If you’re boring, like me, I’m a boring person. So, whenever I am in front of a camera, I’m going to exaggerate and try to entertain because that’s my job. I wouldn’t necessarily say it’s 100% fake, because it’s still a part of us but it’s definitely exaggerated.
