Just two weeks before his death, Woo shared a short update on his personal social media account. In the post, he revealed that he had been debating whether to shave his head due to his condition.
I spent all day debating whether to shave my head, even charged up the clippers and posted in the family group chat that I was going to do it. Then my younger sister scolded me, so I changed my mind and just cut off my ponytail instead.
After my little DIY haircut, I wrapped up the day by making what I thought was a nourishing meal — bean sprouts with dried pollack and sea squirt — to take care of my body.

Woo Chang Soo first revealed health concerns in April 2023.
