An actress who was embroiled in a school violence controversy has recently shared an update, drawing public attention.
Recently, Shim Eun Woo posted a video in which she announced that she had traveled to Japan and candidly shared, “There was someone I couldn’t help but hate for the past few months, but now when I look back, the hatred I had for that person is no longer with me.” She added, “Rather, I now hope that the other person lives well and stays happy,” and expressed her conviction, saying, “When I think about it, I’m no longer living in the past. I don’t think my present and future will be unhappy.”
Later, while filling out an audition application, Shim Eun Woo revealed that she passed the first round for the play Yellow Moon but was eliminated after the second round, eliciting sympathy. She said, “I failed, but it’s okay. I haven’t had many audition opportunities until now, so just being able to take an audition is something I’m grateful for,” and pledged, “I hope to enjoy preparing for the many auditions ahead and share news of acceptance.”
Shim Eun Woo gained popularity playing Min Hyun Seo in the drama The World of the Married, but in 2021, she halted all activities after being accused by accuser A, who claimed to be a middle school classmate, of being a school violence perpetrator. Subsequently, Shim Eun Woo’s side officially stated, “During the investigation, clear evidence showed that Shim Eun Woo was not a perpetrator of school violence, and this was confirmed in the investigation results.” After a long hiatus due to the incident, she opened a personal channel and shared a recent update after five years.
