After KATSEYE’s Daniela recently faced criticism for talking about controversial rapper Playboi Carti, another girl group idol has now been linked to the artist.
Old photos of aespa’s Ningning wearing a Playboi Carti t-shirt have resurfaced and are spreading quickly on X (formerly Twitter). The images have sparked heated debate and reactions among netizens.
Playboi Carti has long been a controversial figure. The rapper has previously been arrested on charges including domestic battery, gun- and drug-related offenses, reckless driving, and multiple assault cases. He has also faced serious allegations of choking his girlfriend while she was reportedly 14 weeks pregnant.
Because of this history, public figures who support or promote him often draw backlash online. Most recently, KATSEYE’s Daniela had to clarify her stance.
