Ahn Hyo-seop is Sold Out on mushrooms and love

Stretched across the scenic blue skies, the lush green fields of our story’s Deok-poong Village await us on SBS’s Sold Out on You. But despite the peaceful view, a cacophony of quarrels takes the stage in the rom-com’s new video teaser, building up a playful tension between our three leads: Ahn Hyo-seop (A Time Called You), Chae Won-bin (Who Is She), and Kim Bum (Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938).
The bulldozer-like Dam Ye-jin (Chae Won-bin) is on a mission, you see, to sign a deal with a newly trending cosmetics brand for the home shopping network, where she works. And though she’s dressed to impress for a typical business meeting in the city, it’s not exactly location-appropriate when trekking down to a farming town to meet the indie brand’s CEO/researcher/farmer Matthew Lee (Ahn Hyo-seop) – a.k.a. Mechuri (Korean for ‟quail”).
It’s the first of many mishaps that has the huffy Ye-jin clashing with Matthew, as she relentlessly tries to persuade our grumpy hero to partner with her shopping channel. But just when the scale starts tipping from hate to love between our leads over the sequence, here enters that darn love triangle that I tried to deny, hoping against hope. And how is one supposed to resist that cheeky smile on Eric Seo (Kim Bum)? (Asking for a friend.)
Also starring Go Du-shim (Check In Hanyang), Yoon Jae-chan (Siren’s Kiss), Jo Woo-ri (Love.exe), and Eun Sun-woo (Men Are Men) among others, SBS’s Sold Out on You will be premiering next month on April 22. Airing in SBS’s Wednesday-Thursday slot, the 12-episode series has PD Ahn Jong-yeon (Seoul Busters) directing and writing by Jin Seung-hee.
