AKMU’s Lee Suhyun has returned with a noticeably slimmer appearance. Once drawing concern from fans due to sudden weight gain, she has now surprised the public by successfully completing a dramatic transformation. Her weight loss was credited to what she described as her older brother Lee Chanhyuk’s “Spartan-style” management.
In the preview for tvN’s You Quiz on the Block, Lee Suhyun showed off a completely transformed look. Her once fuller image was nowhere to be seen, replaced by a sharp jawline and a slender silhouette.
Compared to her previous looks, her chubby cheeks and round face was no where to be seen.
Behind this dramatic change was her brother Lee Chanhyuk’s intense guidance. She revealed that her weight loss secret was how intensely her brother ran her. The routine involved waking up early, engaging in sports and self-development, completing high-intensity personal training sessions, and then being required to go to bed by 10pm. The highly structured lifestyle helped her to shed the pounds.
She jokingly confessed to thinking about running away, drawing laughter, but ultimately, this “hellish routine” helped her regain her prime.
After parting ways with YG Entertainment in December last year and establishing their own company, AKMU has now also taken on the role of their own bosses.
