Kim Hee-ae, Noh Sang-hyun
- JTBC has officially announced production for the Korean remake of BBC series Gold Digger, pairing a publisher Kim Hee-ae (The Whirlwind) and freelance designer Noh Sang-hyun (Perfect Crown) to headline the mystery-romance. With Kim Ji-eun (Check In Hanyang) and now Cha Hak-yeon (Absolute Value of Romance) said to be playing our heroine’s adult children, the series has PD Im Hyun-wook (Surely Tomorrow, King the Land) and writer Sun Young (Forecasting Love and Weather) leading the team. - On SBS, preparations are well underway for the sports drama Full Count, lining up Kim Rae-won (The First Responders) and Park Hoon (Bloodhounds 2) on the roster to become rival baseball coaches. Kim Rae-won, Park Hoon
- Park Hae-soo (The Scarecrow) has reportedly been cast in the black comedy and crime series Paper Man, playing a skilled money counterfeiter from North Korea. Potentially joined by Jo Jung-seok (Captivating the King) who appears to be still in talks, the series has filmmaker/PD Lee Il-hyung (Karma, Remember) at the helm and scripts penned by Kim Bong-joo. - Casting news continues on TVING’s Study Group 2 as well and reports have Kwon Sang-woo (Han River Police) becoming uncle to our returning hero Hwang Min-hyun (My Lovely Liar) in the upcoming sequel. - Wildflowers Live in the Palace (roughly translated) is said to have an offer out to Kim Jae-won (Yumi’s Cells 3). And if all the stars align, he’ll be ruling the fictional land of Eun and romancing Park Eun-bin (Hyper Knife) in the webnovel-adaptation.
