- New character posters have dropped from tvN, piecing Four Hands Two Sonatas together with our story’s three musician leads: pianists, Song Kang (Sweet Home 3) and Lee Jun-young (Reborn Rookie), as well as violist Jang Gyuri (When the Phone Rings). Promising us a melody of friendship and romance, the drama begins its song on August 29, airing on weekends following Spooky in Love. Production is being led by PD Park Hyun-seok (Song of the Bandits, Forest of Secrets 2) and writer Shin Yi-won (Don’t Call Me Ma’am). [Sports Donga]
- Love is taking center stage on MBN as well, with Sung Hoon (The Defects) headlining a new series called What a Boss Wants. Potentially joined by Oh Se-young (The Judge Returns), the webnovel and webtoon adaptation is in the early stages and is aiming to broadcast sometime later this year. - JTBC has been shuffling their schedule and has lined up a re-run of their 2019 sageuk Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency to follow The Apartment Job on weekends starting August 22 (airing four episodes a week). And afterwards, Salon de Nabi (which was shelved in 2021 and had a limited Taiwan release in 2022) will finally be coming to a wider audience on September 19. The mystery-romance stars Kim Hyang-gi (Absolute Value of Romance), Daniel Choi (Yumi’s Cells 3), and Oh Yoon-ah (Queen of Mask). [JTBC]
- On Netflix, the crime-thriller Mousetrap continues promos with identity-theft victim Ryu Joon-yeol (The 8 Show), loan shark Sol Kyung-gu (Hyper Knife), and detective Lee Kyu-hyung (Kick Kick Kick Kick) showcased in the latest bundle of character stills. Kicking off the ‟rat” hunt on August 29 this month, the 10-episode mystery has PD Kim Hong-sun (Dear Hongrang) directing and writing by Lee Jae-gon (A Model Family). [Sports Donga]
- New stills have also come out on KBS, where A Love Other Than Yours awaits Seo Kang-joon (Boyfriend on Demand) and Ahn Eun-jin (Dynamite Kiss). Also starring Lee Joo-ahn (Dream to You), Jo Ah-ram (To the Moon), Kim Nam-hee (A Bona Fide Killer), and Lee Min-jae (My Troublesome Star), the romance is set to premiere on September 12 next month and will be streaming internationally on Amazon Prime.
